Home?

I've been feeling disjointed recently. I have plans, big plans, but I can't seem to figure out which path to take in fulfilling them. There are so many things I *could* be doing that it's hard to decide which things to focus on and which to ignore.

On Saturday night my plane landed in Salt Lake City. After about 22 hours of traveling and waiting and flying and waiting and running and being stuck in lines and running some more and then flying again . . . I was home! And let me confess, because I know that you will all keep this in the strictest confidence, home was a bit of a let down. I've been traveling for six weeks and have seen more of the UK than most natives, but I was just a visitor. Erda is my safety net. It's comfortable and friendly. It's where most of my family can be found. It will always be my Never-never Land. But it doesn't feel like home any more.

I need to find where my home ought to be.

When I do, you'll know.

Home is where the heart is
That’s what people say
It’s the place you rest at night
And where you spend your day

Home is many places
Changing with the season
But where ever in the world we are
It’s home for just one reason…

Before the world’s creation
We had a home above
Dwelling with Heav’nly Parents
Who taught the truth of Love

To love was highly prized
Of all the lessons learned
Remember and practice daily
For true love can only be earned

We live on earth as families
Mother, Father, daughter, son
But here’s the lesson we’ve misplaced:
All families come from one

Any group can be a family
When all members choose to care
To live with, no just near each other
To hope and dream and share

Yes, Home is where the heart is
With life’s moments flashing by
Learn to love those found near you
By asking how, not why

Even time can't change some things. The world will still display it's beauty if an eye can still look on something beautiful.

Knowledge is Power

I realized last week that my education has given me a great deal of appreciation for things that I previously hadn't noticed.
